Bars & Brews

From lively taprooms and craft beer gardens to dog-friendly patios with mountain views and spots featuring live music, Colorado’s bar scene captures the laid-back, social spirit of the Rockies. Whether you’re looking for a casual pint after a hike, a creative cocktail, or a neighborhood hangout with great local brews, these handpicked spots deliver memorable vibes and authentic Colorado hospitality.

The Werks – Wheat Ridge

In Wheat Ridge, we loved discovering The Werks — a vibrant all-in-one spot that brings together bikes, beers, burgers, and bowling. They brew their own beers on-site through Paramount BeerWerks and serve a crave-worthy scratch-made menu featuring creative burgers (try the PB&J!), shareable appetizers, and fresh salads. The amazing dog-friendly patio is perfect for relaxing with your pup, and in the summer they host live music every Friday night from 7 to 10 PM. With six bowling lanes and a bike shop on site, it’s an ideal casual hangout for families, friends, and locals looking for great food, drinks, and good vibes in one place.

Colorado Tap House – Arvada

Tucked along the Ralston Creek Trail in Arvada, Colorado Tap House is a welcoming, family- and dog-friendly taproom that showcases the best of Colorado’s craft scene. They pour a fantastic selection of local beers, wines, and spirits alongside light snacks and rotating food trucks. It’s a favorite neighborhood spot for happy hour (Monday–Friday 2–5 pm), and they keep things lively with live music every Wednesday evening, a run club, yard games, and other community activities. Whether you’re stopping by after a trail ride or looking for a relaxed evening out, this spot perfectly captures Colorado’s laid-back, community-focused vibe.
